Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Frustration collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Frustration does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to play. Local player names entered for pass-and-play games are used only on-device to label seats at the table and are never transmitted anywhere.

Game Center

If you choose to play an online match, Frustration uses Apple's Game Center to authenticate you and to relay the turn-based match state (the card game's progress) between players. Frustration has no server of its own — all matchmaking and turn delivery is handled entirely by Apple's infrastructure.

What we don't collect

Frustration does not include any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services, and does not collect device identifiers or usage data of any kind.

2. How We Use Your Information

Because Frustration has no server and no built-in tracking, we do not receive or use any information about how you play. Game Center data (your Apple ID's public Game Center profile, and turn-based match state) is used solely by Apple to deliver matches between the players you're playing with — we never see it.

We do not use any information for targeted advertising or sell it to third parties, because none is collected.

3. Game Center & Apple Services

Game Center authentication, matchmaking, and turn-based match data transport are provided and controlled entirely by Apple, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. You can sign out of Game Center at any time in Settings → Game Center; local pass-and-play remains fully available without it.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share personal information, because Frustration does not collect any. Any data exchanged during an online match stays within Apple's Game Center service and the other players in that match.

5. Distribution & Children's Privacy

Frustration is currently distributed via Apple's TestFlight to invited testers only and is not published on the public App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no account or personal data is required to play locally, the app is safe for all ages.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

A local pass-and-play game exists only in memory and on-device storage for the duration of that session, and is cleared when you close or delete the app. Online match state is retained by Apple's Game Center for as long as the match remains active, per Apple's own retention policies — we have no ability to access, extend, or shorten that retention ourselves.

7. Security

With no server component, Frustration has no backend to be breached. Local game data is protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and data protection. Online match data in transit is secured by Apple's Game Center infrastructure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
